Premier League referees appreciate the support of the Basketball Federation
AMMAN - The Jordan Basketball Federation, in the presence of its President Mohammad Alayyan and the Secretary-General, Eng. Nabeel Abu Ata, held a meeting with the referees of the Premier League clubs this morning, to urge them to continue their work professionally and encourage them to continue their work ably.
The president of the federation urged all referees to correct lapses or mistakes that may occur during the management of matches, emphasizing that the federation’s board of directors does not interfere in the decisions of the referees committee to appoint referees to manage matches, according to the rotation mechanism that it adopts.
Mr. Mohammad Alayyan stressed that the union would not succumb to any pressure, stressing that the law would be applied to everyone without exception, and without favoritism for any party.
The referees valued the step taken by the president of the federation and the general secretary, by standing by their side, supporting their path, and emphasizing the independence of the committee in selecting referees to manage matches, emphasizing their neutrality with all clubs and the application of the law without regard to the identity of the competitors.
In turn, the Referees Committee, chaired by Mr. Mudar Majzoub, and whose members include Ahmed Tijani, Tayseer Saadeh, Badi' Yaish and Nasser Abu Rashid, met today, Saturday, to discuss some arbitration cases in the matches of the last round, within the weekly periodic sessions held by the Referees Committee of the Jordan Basketball Federation .
During the session, matches were reviewed and arbitration cases were discussed to unify concepts, while urging referees to make more efforts and not pay attention to the psychological pressure exerted by some clubs.
The Referees Committee of the Jordan Basketball Federation stressed that there are 7 referees in its list approved by the International Basketball Federation "FIBA", which is replaced every two years, with an emphasis on the presence of 30 referees for the arena to rotate in managing all the tournaments organized by the Federation and for the various categories.
