Royal Jordanian Airlines signs partnership with Jordanian Basketball Federation

AMMAN – Last Thursday, Prince Hamzah Hall in Al Hussein Youth City witnessed the signing of a new partnership agreement between the Jordan Basketball Association and Royal Jordanian Airlines, the official national carrier for all national teams, under which the “Royal Jordanian” logo will be placed on the women’s national team shirt. Basketball and men's national team shorts, in a one-year partnership.

American playmaker Natasha Cloud, 29, was also presented as a new naturalized for the "Women's Falcons" at the second level finals of the Asian Basketball Championship, which will be hosted by Jordan from 7 to 13 November.

This came in a press conference held by the Jordan Basketball Association, in the presence of the technical and administrative staff and the women’s team players, in addition to the President of the Jordan Basketball Association, Muhammad Alyan, the Secretary General, Eng. Samer Majali.

The President of the Jordan Basketball Association, Muhammad Alyan, welcomed the "Royal Jordanian" as a new partner with the Jordanian basketball family, saying: "Today, the vision of Royal Jordanian, the official carrier of the national teams, revolves around its confidence in the role of youth and sports in representing the country. We appreciate the step of dear brother Samer Majali on Supporting the march of youth and athletes, and we seek to complete the agreement for more years.”

Olayan presented the women's national basketball team shirt, which bears the number 9 for the new American national, Natasha Cloud, expressing his pride in the player's presence in the ranks of the "women's hawks" and her ability to provide the desired addition and lead the game family's ambitions to fly to the "first level".

In turn, the Vice Chairman and CEO of the Royal Jordanian, Engineer Samer Majali, expressed his happiness with this partnership with the Basketball Association and the opportunity for the Royal Jordanian to support the national basketball teams, stressing: “This agreement is a great honor for the Royal Jordanian, we loved today celebrating the country’s centenary. By facilitating the roaming of our national teams in all countries of the world after 57 years of the establishment of the Royal Jordanian.

He added: "Our national teams play a major role in spreading Jordan's cultural, social and sports message around the world, and this sponsorship comes from the Royal Jordanian out of its national duty and social responsibility to motivate Jordanian youth in various fields, support all national teams and enable them to participate in world championships, because we We became the wings of Jordan Aviation around the world."

On the other hand, the Secretary General, Eng. Nabil Abu Atta, stressed the importance of the new partnership between the Jordan Basketball Association and the Royal Jordanian, pointing out: "This partnership is important and real for Jordan's hawks in facilitating the movement of our players. We welcome the Royal Jordanian as a new partner for Jordanian basketball."

Engineer Nabil Abu Atta sent a direct message to all the media and the basketball family, before the women's team deserved to participate in the Asian Championship, saying: "Today we must respect the sacrifices that each player makes to ensure being with the women's hawks, we must not forget that there are mothers players. They have children and others who have been temporarily interrupted from their work. What we say today is that the continuity of the women’s team is one of the pillars of the continuity of Jordanian basketball, and whatever the results we have to be proud of our players who will fight to ensure victory and the happiness of the Jordanian fans, we have to support them by attending the gym.”
